**COVID-19 Update**
January 11th, 2022

I hope you are doing well. The Center currently has an outbreak of COVID-19.

The CDC has recently issued several sets of guidance pertaining to quarantine and isolation for COVID-19 exposure and positive test results, including guidance that is specifically for healthcare workers. On January 7, 2022, the Virginia Department of Health released guidance to nursing facilities which states that visitors who test positive for COVID-19 should stay away from nursing homes and other high-risk settings until at least 10 days after symptom onset or the date of the positive test, if no symptoms are present. Additionally, any visitor who is under quarantine related to exposure is advised to avoid nursing homes for at least 10 days after exposure. While we realize this guidance may be different than recommendations for the general public, we will be enforcing CDC and Virginia Department of Health (VDH) recommendations for healthcare workers and nursing facilities as directed by VDH. We ask for your cooperation with our collective efforts to keep our patients and your loved ones safe.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

William Lester, LNHA
