Radford Health and Rehab Center, in Radford, VA is currently searching for the nursing leader that will move our center forward in a positive and knowledgeable leadership role. The Director of Nursing plans, organizes and leads overall operations of a progressive rehab and nursing center in accordance with all federal and state regulations.

Radford Health & Rehab Center is a beautiful 90-bed health and rehab center that is in the heart of Radford and provides a resident-centered, customer service approach to care by qualified staff that value quality and commit to compliance and higher standards. We are looking for an individual to lead the nursing department to meet community needs of its residents and their families.

What’s My Role?

• Develops and maintains nursing service objectives and coordinates them with other services (medical, rehabilitative, social services, resident activity program).
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.
• Responsibility for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Works with the administrator to develop a Plan of Correction for any identified survey deficiencies for nursing and assures the Plan of Correction is implemented.
• Promotes a positive and collaborative service excellence team environment.
• Demonstrates and assures customer service standards are being met.
• Assures infection control standards and employee health policies are carried out.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• Current RN license in good standing in VA
• Prefer 5 years of progressive experience in Administrative Nursing in LTC
• Strong leadership, clinical, and customer service skills
• Strong commitment to resident-centered care and innovative care delivery
