Each Friday, we’ll be introducing you to one of those employees who help make our facility so great as part of our “Frontline Friday.” On behalf of Radford Health & Rehab Center, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Amanda Belcher, Admissions Assistant:
Amanda started at Radford Health & Rehab in December of 2019 and currently resides in Christiansburg with her husband, children, and three dogs. The Pulaski County native graduated from ECPI University in 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with a major in Medical Assisting and went on to obtain her certification. Amanda started nursing school in 2016 and is currently taking classes to continue working toward her ultimate goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. She has worked in the healthcare field for the past 16 years and is incredibly passionate about taking care of others.
Since coming to work at Radford Health & Rehab Center, Amanda said, “I have had the opportunity to still be able to connect with residents and have the chance to get to know them. There’s nothing that’s more rewarding then walking through the hall and seeing someone’s face light up because they’re happy that they are in a place that loves and cares for them as if they are a part of our family. We have some very wonderful and professional employees here at Radford, and I’m excited to be able to have the opportunity to work with these people. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for me here at Radford.”
In her spare time, Amanda loves spending time with her family and traveling. Her hobbies include crafting, photography, hiking, and cooking up some delicious meals.
