Family Testimonial: Mr. Jones

At Radford Health & Rehab, we exist to provide the most caring, compassionate, and complete rehabilitation. We care about what we do and strive to have that care reflected in our daily interactions. We are responsive to the needs of our patients, residents, their families, and our dedicated staff, practicing continuous improvement in the pursuit of excellence. We’re able to do this through the testimonials that our patients and family members leave us. Providing the best care is not just because it’s our job, but because it’s our calling.

We receive warm, wonderful testimonials from former patients, their families, and friends almost every day. We thank them for taking the time to praise the excellent care they received, for telling us about their recovery, and for sharing their experience with us, which we, in turn, communicate with you here.

My mother’s hip broke at the beginning of March. I knew from the minute that I knew she was going to rehab, it would be at Radford Health and Rehab Center. I worked with the Administrator and the DON for several years at another retirement community and know that they have the residents (patients) best outcome in mind. Momma was very happy there, and the therapy and care was absolutely amazing. I have worked in LTC for a number of years and was the LTC Ombudsman for the Roanoke region. I have seen a lot of facilities and this one is top-notch. Momma enjoyed the food and the activities, which really surprised me.

The nursing care is amazing, and never did I have to wait for them if momma needed something. The front office staff always took care of what needed to be taken care of, whether it be a doctor’s appointment for momma needing transportation or just reminding/guiding me through the next steps of what would need to happen with momma. The Administrator walks the building several times daily to ensure things are going well. Speaking from experience, he is the type of “boss” that you want to do well for him and the residents/patients. The DON was always on top of anything I needed and always willing to answer questions if I had one. As one who has dealt with many rehabs and nursing homes as an employee and Ombudsman, I would rate this one as one of the best in the NRV and beyond.
