TRUCKLOAD OF SUPPLIES FOR SENIORS PROJECT

Posted on:

Radford Health and Rehab partnered with Harvey’s GM to fill a new truck with Supplies for Seniors.  The employees, customers and patrons of both business donated items generously during a month long campaign to provide basic personal and household items to seniors in need.  The items were delivered to Angela Little, Director of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program of the New River Valley whom heads the annual Supplies for Seniors campaign.  “Thank you so much for braving the frigid temperatures to deliver the truckload of supplies,” said Angela Little.  “You had an overwhelming response to the drive,” she added.

Supplies will be distributed to homebound seniors by the New River Valley Agency on Aging and Radford Meals on Wheels.  Many seniors throughout the New River Valley go without the basic personal and household necessities.
