“I didn’t think I would interact or get attached with the residents as much as I do.”

My name is Angie Mayberry and on July 31, 2002 I started working at Radford Health & Rehab Center as a cook.  It has been an honor and a privilege working here and we are like a big family in the kitchen.

I didn’t think I would interact or get attached with the residents as much as I do.  I love talking to them and getting to know them.  Along with the nursing staff we work together to understand the needs, likes, and dislikes of the residents.

Fifteen years ago I didn’t know if I would still be here.  Now, I see being here another 15 years.  I has been an honor and a pleasure working here and everyone has come to feel like a second family to me.  That means a lot.
